Islam, the religion of about 1.3 billion of world population, is the second largest religion in number of followers and the fastest growing religion today. From Japan in the Far East to Honolulu in the Far West, you find Muslims with Asian, Middle Eastern, Caucasian, African, and Latino resemblances all over the world. Born Muslims or recent converts, they all bow down to one God, Allah, the most High.
The word 'Islam' is an Arabic word which is derived from two roots, 'Peace' & 'Submission'. So Islam is defined as: “Reaching inner (within ones self) and external (with the universe) peace through full submission to Allah’s will.” 'Allah' is the Arabic word for God. Arab Jews and Christians call their God Allah as well. He is the same God worshipped by Muslims.
